Hello Everyone!!

 

It’s time to share a round up of all September’s Updates as we are now in Optimistic October!

You might have seen that I have shared on the socials the Action for Happiness calendar and this month they are doing an Optimistic October challenge! Day one’s task was to write down three things you can look forward to this month!

For me I was looking forward to:

Offering my workshops to the University of Lancashire Social Work Students!

Watching my gorgeous girl start her part time job alongside college, especially when considering how tough it is for our young people to find employment. They’re ghosted, given updates by bots and no feedback in sight with some recruiting companies! Shocking!

 

Going to the Coastal Radio Local Heroes Awards. Growth Business Hub are sponsoring an award so as one of their hosts I get to go along too! Time to get the frock out!

MND Celebration!

Huge thanks for each and every person who supported the MND 15000 Steps a Day Celebration that I hosted.

Especially Zoe and John for the bravery that they show each and every day in facing MND. Friends and family came together, gorgeous supporters donated and local businesses shared raffle prizes.

£1333.39 raised and it went straight to the MND Association to help them to continue to raise awareness and offer support to those impacted by MND.

I will continue to share information to raise awareness and there will be future fundraising. Keep your eyes peeled!

Strengths Coaching – What Does It Mean To You?

People are often mistaken that I offer physical strengths coaching when I tell that I’m a Strengths Coach!

I certainly do see the importance of looking after my physical health. Consistently train 3 times a week. Track my progress. It’s important for my physical and mental wellbeing. What if we applied this to our personal Strengths too…….

Training your personal Strengths, just like athletes do, helps us to be at the top of our game! Get through the tough times because we feel energised!

Practice this

What is it that gives you energy?

What opportunities do you have to lean into this energy today?

Feels limited? What can you add to your day so that you are stepping into that energy that rock and rolls you?

Can you reframe how you look at what you’re doing so that you see it through a Strengths lens?

Notice and celebrate the achievements that you have made!

Repeat every single day and even during the day when you are feeling your energy take a dip!

FANCY SOME NETWORKING?

Are you in business and do you fancy some decent networking? ‍♀️

Finding spaces that cultivate real value connections can be difficult, costly and time consuming…..

What we have on offer with the Preston Growth Business Hub is a community of businesses, from solopreneurs to charities, employers, charities and CICS, all wanting to do make valuable connections. We have a focus on Social Value too, looking at ways that we can support the charities and CICs in our community.

There are two guest speakers each time, sharing their nuggets of expertise. This photo is Alistair Clarke MBE sharing the wealth of free business support available to Preston and Lancashire wide businesses. And did I say it costs you nothing other than your time!

✅ 26th November – Warren Langford all things digital marketing and Rosey Rihani, with a focus on the legals – who knew we needed shareholders agreements?!

✅ 17th December – Christmas Social – get your Christmas jumpers on!
