Hello Everyone!!
We’ve done the first full working week of 2026 and we’re starting the second! And I know we’re well into January now; still… Happy New Year!
It’s going to be a snappy one this month! As I know you will be inundated with so many other newsletters and the link and I don’t intend to swamp you!
What better way to start this little update than using the Action for Happiness, Happier January Calendar!?
Daily actions to help us keep focussed when we are easing or way into 2026! Or you might be wanting to smash it, hitting the ground running! Whichever is you, this is great!

STARTING THE NEW YEAR YOUR WAY!
As the New Year started I got out and about with Ollie the collie and did a route that we’ve not done for quite a while. The darkness has prevented us being able to get out in it! So when we did it was absolute BLISS!
Seeing the green grass, the trees, walking by the sound of the brook. Ollie was in his ELEMENT sniffing about and having an extra long stretch of his legs whilst he explored!
Got me thinking about how we face the New Year. We’ve had the Winter Solstice. The longest days are now behind us!
Things might still be tough, we are in the real world and I appreciate that a bit of getting outside isn’t going to erase the significant challenges that some of us are facing at the moment. With some mindfulness, bringing our awareness to what’s around us, it can feel even just that little bit easier.
So rather than set grand intentions that might feel unachievable, I’d invite you to keep it simple. What is it that will give you that boost of energy as we move towards Spring? If it’s getting outside in the daylight during the day like me, how about committing to that? Ten minutes would be more than enough!
Now that the Mariah Christmas tunes on repeat are gone, it might be taking the time to listento your favourite music and being present in it. The tunes that take you back to goodmemories, remind you of what lights you up!
Or it could simply be spending some time in the bath, reading a book, having an actual telephone/Facetime call with your nearest and dearest.
Whatever it is that gives you a bit of energy; dedicate and gift yourself some time there. Or mix it up and try something new! Remind yourself of it every day. And no need to beatyourself up if you skip a day or even a week, you can simply jump back onto it and relish inthat energy that you have created!
